New Cordless Faux Wood Blinds for Habitat for Humanity Homes

At Made in the Shade of Clarksville, we are honored to give back to our community at every opportunity. We began our partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County a few years ago. As such, we were honored to once again provide beautiful faux wood blinds for two brand new homeowners!

These two homes were dedicated a few weeks back, and the owners were ecstatic once they found out that they would receive cordless faux wood blinds from Made in the Shade! Each home was built and personalized for each family, giving them a sense of true ownership of their new abodes.

We provided brand new Norman San Clemente 2″ Cordless Faux Wood Blinds for both homes. These beautiful blinds are designed to last, with a cordless lift system that truly WORK. Both families will enjoy the look and feel of these stunning window treatments for years to come.

Each new Habitat for Humanity homeowner fully enjoys the pride of owning their own home. This is through their work through “sweat equity” with volunteer hours in the ReStore (located on Madison Street, across from Madison Street Methodist Church), or in helping to actually build their home. These volunteer hours (and through donations of materials by more than a dozen businesses for each home) help to offset the cost of the home. This results in a greatly reduced mortgage for the home that’s affordable.
